Bicycle mechanic working on a bike on a Philadelphia sidewalk
Our Story

About Sukoba Dugeyo

A mobile repair service built around one observation: getting a bike fixed should not require a car.

Origin

How this service started

Sukoba Dugeyo began operating in Philadelphia after noticing a consistent problem: cyclists who depended on their bikes for daily transportation had no practical way to get repairs done quickly. Bike shops require in-person drop-off, often have multi-day turnaround times, and are not always located near where people live or work.

The model we built addresses that directly. A mechanic with a full kit goes to the customer. The repair happens where the bike already is. No transport, no waiting days, no second trip across town.

We started with one mechanic and a van stocked with the parts that cover the vast majority of common repairs. The service area has expanded since then, but the operating principle remains the same.

How We Operate

Four things that define our approach

01

Transparent Pricing

Every service has a posted flat rate. You receive the price before any work starts. Parts cost extra and are itemized separately on the same quote.

02

Location Flexibility

We work at apartments, offices, parking garages, parks, and most outdoor spaces with enough room for a portable repair stand. The location is determined by where you are, not where we are.

03

Defined Scope

We do not start a repair and then discover additional charges halfway through. If an inspection reveals something beyond the original scope, we stop and communicate before proceeding. You decide what gets done.

04

Mechanic Accountability

Every mechanic carries identification and is reachable through our main contact line. Post-repair questions go through the same contact — the mechanic who performed the work is on record.
